HQ0A11 Hall Element

New introduction of Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM)

Our longtime partner Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) introduces its latest ultra-compact next-generation InAs (indium arsenide) compound Hall element: the HQ0A11.  Measuring 0.8 x 0.4 x 0.23 mm, the HQ0A11 features the smallest and thinnest package for an InAs-based Hall element.

Its ultra-compact format makes the element ideal for improving performance in small applications such as smartphone camera modules, small robots and many others. The HQ0A11 achieves the highest S/N performance among AKM's products by utilizing the characteristics of InAs with over 3.5 times higher position detection accuracy than the HG0C11 GaAs (gallium arsenide) Hall element, which was previously AKM's main product for camera modules. The new HQ0A11 can contribute to a significant reduction in the lens shake effect that is common in smartphone cameras, especially with telephoto lenses.

AKM also aims to use its proprietary compound semiconductor and packaging technology to enable further miniaturization and performance optimization of electronic products.

HQ0A11

Manufacturer: AKM

- AKM's smallest and thinnest housing (0.8 x 0.4 x 0.23 mm)
- S/N performance more than 3.5 times higher than the HG0C11 Hall element
- ~16 % better S/N (signal-to-noise ratio) than HQ0811
- Stable operation as no magnetic materials are included (independent of adsorption or changes in magnetic field strength)
